Northwest Roofing does roof leak repairs on composite roofs only. Locating the actual source of a roof leak can be a challenging and time-consuming project. To find your roof leak, our technician must spend time crawling through the attic, going from room to room, and climbing up to examine the roof. Often, the leak itself is nowhere near where the homeowner detects the evidence of moisture. As much as an hour can be spent pinpointing the roof leak.

For this reason, Northwest Roofing does not offer free estimates for roof leak repair. However, if, after finding the problem, you elect to have us complete the roof leak repairs work, we will waive the service fee. The normal charge for a Dry Weather Detection Service Call and estimate is $50 to $100, depending on travel distance.

The reason Northwest Roofing like many other roofing contractors charge a fee for a roof leak repair finding is this; many homeowners do not plan to pay a roofer to fix the problem, they just want someone to come out for FREE, find the leak or leaks, tell the homeowner what and where then send them back down the road. The homeowner already planned to try, and “DIY” roof repair or has a neighbor, cousin, brother-in-law, etc. to try and fix the leak, usually by dumping a gallon of tar in the area. This never repairs anything, and will only make the cost of roof leak repair go up instead of repairing the leak the correct way. For this very reason we charge a fee, so that it is not a complete waste of our time, fuel and resources.
